Overstatement of the day so far. US is spending more than next ten guys combined and more this year than EVER! The Chinese really put a spanner in works by sanctioning critical magnets and rare earths... they're not only used in these shiny toys but every other industry. There is a plan to start making those in the US but it is not that easy... besides Chinese have figured it out. It remains a dirty and polluting job elsewhere... one of the ways to sideline regulations is by undercutting or over ruling the EPA and bureaucracy to speed the process... yet it remains expensive, daunting and for the long haul.
