Also haven't they moved an enormous amount of firepower already to the region the past 6 weeks? Was that buildup not enough for some reason and these are now needed for something else?

These are B1-B heavy bombers that have been positioned in the UK in the event of a surge strike.

They are stationed in the UK for logistical reasons as there is a special air base designed to support them with a long enough runway, apron and support facilities for the c17s thag bring thr logisticsl support and engineers to support and maintain these huge aircraft.

These bases are:
RAF Lakenheath (UK)
RAF Fairford (UK)
Rammstine Air Base (Germany)

Each bomber can carry 24 JASSM (Cruise Missiles) With this many B1B bombers, the US csn deliver 192 crusise missiles with precison in the battlefield.

I think Iranians thought initial strikes would come from the US bases in the GCC countries instead of Zion and US, so they fired more than they needed to on GCC countries. Maybe Iran was also hoping this would create panic and unrest in the GCC countrues which has not happened.

Whilst US and Zion are continuing to attack Iran, British and French militaries are quietly moving into the region, which could mean the same formula that was applied on Libya is going to be repeated on Iran.
