It’s not some dudes on rafts invading Iran lol.

They got a decent chance of setting up a beachhead around Chabhar (not inward in the actual Persian gulf since that’s too dangerous).

The Russians were also able to grab deep inside Ukraine in the early days. The key is can they hold whatever they take and what are the casualties.

What would setting up a beachhead at Chabhar or grabbing Chabhar accomplish ? That's so far away from Strait of Hormuz.

Every sign point out to a long drawn out conflict in the middle east with increasing horizontal and vertical escalation and operational and strategic complexity. Iran is not surrendering anytime soon that is established, and can easily sustain the current operational tempo for 2 to 3 months at least. On the other hand, Epstein coalition has limited options and the plausible way forward for them seems to be capture of northern shores of strait of Hormuz ultimately extending to Pakistan Iran border.

Most importantly, patience of Saudi Arabia is wearing thin by the passing day and will surely be exhausted if Iran goes after Kingdom's oil infrastructure. This is the best case scenario for Israel and Netanyahu being at the helm of affairs will try his level best to burn the whole region to the ground.

No, I wasn't and apologies if it came out that way. Nor did I take your comment as disrespectful.

I'm a firm believer in OpSec and am not about to say anything outside of what is available (and verifiable) in the public domain should I have access to any information that is not public.

The goal is to use that point to amass more troops and move along the coast creating a buffer zone. Which will eliminate the threat of Iranian CMs on naval ships and allow them to come into the Persian Gulf and help maintain the buffer zone.

If Iran loses control of its coast, it will lose the war.
