Pray tell why salafis of Arabia got along with Iran prior to '79? Not diminishing their negative role in the recent decades but things don't just happen in a vaccum. Instead of perpetuating sectarian chaos and fanning the flames of hatred by arming, supporting and directing shia militas in Iraq, Syria and beyond, perhaps Iran should have used those billions to building a credible IAD.

Wahabism/salafi are the same coin of zionism. Salafis has always been a western tool from defeating the Ottomans to current affairs

I don't think we can blame Kuwait or Qatar having American or other Western forces in their soil. Kuwait, in particular, was invaded in 1991 by a much larger neighbor. It took these foreign powers removing Iraqi forces from Kuwait. The American and other Western military bases were forever there after the end of the invasion.

Similarly, Qatari security were once threatened by its much larger Muslim neighbors.

THerefore, these 2 small nations saw foreign powers as a guarantee to keep their much larger Muslim nations from invading them.

With that in mind, the GCC are not in isolation here. Take for example when Afghanistan was invaded by Western powers in 1991. Both Iran, Pakistan, and many other Muslim nations were supportive of that invasion.

Let us take the invasion against Iraq in 2003. Most of their Muslim neighbors - with the exception of Turkiye and Syria under Bashar Al-Assad - supported that invasion.

Fast forward to this invasion against Iran, there is no support from GCC , except UAE, to this Israeli-led attack on Iran. Having a foreign military base doesn't mean they support the attack. Take for example Oman: There is a British military base in Oman, and the United States has military access agreements with Oman that allow U.S. forces to use certain Omani facilities when needed. However, there is no support from Oman to this Israeli and American-led attack on Iran, and there are no American attack emanating from Omani soil.

So having a foreign military base doesn't mean the GCC (except UAE) support this flagrant attack on Iran.

I also think we're losing the bigger picture here: This is a war to facilitate Greater Israel. The attacks against Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, and Somalia were all part of this project. So if the Muslim nations start internal conflict, it will be to Israel's benefit.
