not to disagree with you, but i think geopolitically speaking pakistan is the king maker with respect to whatever is happening in this region, pakistan's neutrality or her outright support either diplomatic or militarily holds enormous weight to shift the tide.

there is reason why ksa signed a strategic defence partnership with pakistan, and iranian foreign minister thanking pakistan yesterday, not to mention the outright support of our turkish and chinese brothers during times of crisis.

The US with Trump at the helm is a altogether totally new element, one that no one is really aligned with. Why go to war for Trump and the Jews. They are allies of course but who knows what the future holds with Trump.

Trump wants the European military to help escort / save the oil tankers' passage through the Strait of Hormuz and that's very different, dangerous demand than the military basis or intelligence sharing.
Essentially, Trump wants to lessen the American body bags count by bringing in others to contribute to the body bags count. The Strait, as long as it remains closed, is Iran's Economic Nuke, if you saw what Newt Gingrich said a few days ago.
