Ford is headed back for repairs due to a fire that started in the ship's laundry which spread to the surrounding spaces. Took 30 hours to suppress. Cause of the fire not yet known but it wasn't due to an Iranian or Hezbollah strike.

The Bush strike group is enroute to take up the Ford's position.

Lincoln is still on station and carrying out operations.

Laundry fire... this was reported so long ago. No carrier got "f'd". Pleade stop coping.

Iran's problem right now, is that it is throwing 1 or 2 missiles at a target and not actually destroying anything. They should focus on to these plans with several cluster based missiles per target and make a concerted effort to actually destroy these targets for a change.

how do u know they are not destroying anything? Do u see any data from israel to determine this?

You seem to be a little fuzzy regarding the capabilities of an amphibious ready group with a carrier strike group.

Very relevant to regional and global affairs. A US AFB declaring FPCON (Force Protection) conditon charlie is a big deal. (For reference, the last time US AFB were at FPCON charlie was after 9/11).

FP CON levels explained:

FPCON ALPHA: threat of a terrorist, of a terrorist attack or hostile act directed against DoD elements and personnel. (Detect)


FPCON BRAVO: Applies when an increased or more predictable threat of terrorism attack or hostile act exists and is directed against DoD elements and personnel. (Delay)


FPCON CHARLIE: Applies when a terrorist or hostile incident occurs within the commander’s area of interest or intelligence is received indicating a hostile act, some form of terrorist action or targeting of DoD elements, personnel or facilities. (Deny)


FPCON DELTA: Applies when a terrorist attack or hostile act has occurred or is anticipated against specific installations or operating areas. (Defend)
