There is a nuance this time though: The global impact of this war on economy is deep and vast and so the pain is felt by too many to ignore. The Strait of Hormuz has thus far proven to be an Economic Nuke in the hands of Iran.

As to the negotiations, no one can trust President Trump, not only given the history but also that he is sending airborne and other units to the conflict. Yet Iran has some leverage to ask for its terms to be looked into and solutions verified before a ceasefire happens. Israel has long wanted the fertile, strategic land of Lebanon south of the Litani River. Israel is an expansionist entity and will look for ways to expand, especially into fertile areas as Israel is in a parched region.

If a country is being subjected to aggression, and we cancel or suspend the contract, how is that different from the sanctions measures of the United States? This is an irresponsible act. We have always maintained good credit in fulfilling our commitments and signed agreements.

Well said. In contrast, Pakistan is fighting a mighty power like India over a tiny sliver of land 20,000 ft above sea level in Siachen Glacier since 1984. Balls and determination!

Coming back to the topic: Last night (NYC Time), Israel's Haaretz had a story about J.D. Vance, Witcoff and Kurshner meeting Iranian officials in Islamabad as early as this week. Haaretz was quoting Reuters and a Pakistani official; the Pakistani Army Chief is behind this, per Haaretz/Reuters. Hard to believe the story but Vance is against this war and if true then he is there for some good reasons. Add to this, the Pakistani Prime Minister spoke with the Iranian President very recently.
