Pakistan was not able to shot down US Predator drones due to permission with US to work together.

The person i qouted was over estimating the significance of Iranian Geography in wake of foreign invasion, I simply pointed out, when incentive was there, Arabs were able to conquer Iran despite the tough geography.
Iranian Geography was same back then also, wasn't it?

- There was a civil war between Parthians and Sassanids. The Parthians wanted to reclaim the throne after 400 years.
- something like 10 kings changed in 8 years, Royal family was slaughtering each other.
- 30 years of war against Romans had weakened both Iran and Rome, middle east was a parking lot, ready for Arabs to walk in.
- Justinian plague had killed 1/3-1/2 of the Iranian population.
- there were already parts of Iran claiming their own independence.

At this moment Arabs invaded. A much milder scenario like this happened after 1979 when revolution happened, Islamic republic executed pilots and generals and country was in chaos. Saddam with backing of PGCC, West and East tried to repeat it, but this time we had no famine, kings, 30 years war against Rome/Italy (lol).
