The narrow part of Hormuz strait is about 33 km ad each country is allowed to have 12 nm (22 km) of territorial sea water. So, Hormuz strait is within both Iran and Oman territories. But, foreign ships are allowed to safe passage through the strait. I don't know Iran has the right to collect ships passage fees.

Are Malaysia and Indonesia collecting ship passage fees ? If not then neither Oman nor Iran have any such right.

The capability is not there. Maybe targeting some Arab universities in the Gulf but that would not bode well for Iran.

But the capability to efficiently strike vital US and Israeli infrastructure in region besides the bases around Iran is not there.

They wouldn't be giving warnings if they could confidently pull it off

Maybe add some to our strategic reserves as well. After all 20 ships with 2 per day isn't much oil when you look at our consumption and the distribution among diesel, petrol and all. Just enough for our needs and maybe recover the losses to our reserves (due to no deliveries but continued consumption) we got in past 2 weeks .
