Yes. The defence pact is fast turning into a liability for Pakistan, no matter how you spin this.

Defense, Offense clauses shai bai, are all subjective. I fear if push comes to shove, Saudis might force Pakistan’s hand if we’re not smart about it.

Increasingly it looks like for the long term peace of the region and Pakistans economic security, we may be better off aligning with Iran....

I don't think MBS had pushed Trump into this war...

The only GCC state other than Jordan in the greater Israel project was Saudia...

Saudis was engaged in clearing out the Israeli/UAE backed Yemeni and Somali militias... Also the behavior of the Houthis during that time should also be an example of what Saudi Iranian relations were going...

I think it's more propaganda by the UAE sheikhs than actually MBS pushing Trump into war with Iran.

A defence pact activated for defence is fine - it becomes a problem if the Saudi's actively start attacking Iran and expect Pakistan to "defend it" from Iranian reprisals while it is attacking Iran.

That’s pretty clear. The oldies at helm in Iran were constantly backstabbed yet chose the path of trusting the snakes.

The mid tier seems to be smarter, if what you see in the past couple of weeks.

In a scenario of a ground invasion, the IRGC need to make sure the C&C stays intact. If it does, there is very less likelihood of a ground invasion being meaningful. I mean, if the expeditionary unit takes control of Chahbahar port, it would be meaningless in a larger scheme of things and the IRGC needs to keep resorting to asymmetrical response and not like for like.

The prized asset is control of Straits of Hormuz and the IRGC needs to safeguard it at all costs.
 
Man I can only imagine how happy Russia and China are right now

I can bet you Russia helped with the anti jamming electronics and AI with the upgraded Shaheed drone and China gave the live tracking
