I don't think US will put boots on the ground, that'd be completely and utterly suicidal - unless that is part of the their plan to send few thousands to the meat grinder and use that to try something nastier. Yes. This is a cognitive misconception that many Iranians have fallen into.

Iran's development of nuclear weapons and even Iran's possession of nuclear weapons cannot prevent Israel and the United States from invading Iran. On the contrary, developing nuclear weapons will truly isolate Iran. The United States and Israel are not afraid of nuclear weapons, what they are truly afraid of is Iran prolonging the war with international support.

China's expedience is anticipated and included in Iran's calculations.

As recently as December 15, 2025, China appeared to lend support to UAE's attempts to question Iran’s sovereignty over its islands. Ironic given the Taiwan situation. In practice, Iran demonstrated its resolve by reclaiming control over the Strait of Hormuz.

Likewise, the decision to attain nuclear capability rests solely with Iran. A capability whose benefits others, including China, have enjoyed for decades.

China's rapid economic advance is admirable. However this should not be misunderstood as an invitation to patronize a longstanding civilizational state like Iran.
