Cuba is an island nation that is currently under siege, I suspect when the USA gets around to it, there is not much that they will be able to do to resist.

That's why I said other than Cuba and Somalia.
The US is finished for at least a decade. It will take a very long time for the US to return to the military status it had prior to the Iran war. They have already used a large part of their ABM inventory and cruise missiles and we have at least another month to go.

And Cuba is only possible if something like Venezuela can happen there. An Iraq-war scenario in Cuba is out of the question as well.

Iran has hundreds of miles of coast... it is impossible to protect the vessels which even Houthis didn't allow with much less.

Ground invasion is easier said than done. It will need a much higher commitment, larger footprint and there is no appetite for that... Americans live on generally very tight budgets. People often do not have money for emergencies and wouldn't take a day off even if sick or other persona/familial milestone/commitment... because there are bills to pay.

Guess what? If people start losing their jobs, can't afford food, groceries or gas, can't pay their rent, utilities or insurance... jig will be up very quickly and to sign up to go to war against Iran.

Iran is in no mood to open the SoH until some serious concessions are given to them by America that will just destroy the decades of efforts to degrade iranian capabilities

So only option for America is to open the strait with force.And that of course requires a solid commitment on their part.Lets see how the things unfold.

tbh its just that mossad is that good. and you say we couldnt imagine such high profile lossses to our officer corps when in reality weve lost a ridiculous number of offficers in our own incompetence anyways. PA has in war on terror the highest enlisted to officer loss ratio in history with something like 8:1 iirc a ridiculous figure. everyone from lietenants to lt general has been killed. our officers also have a nasty habit of fighting right at the front which makes them particularly vulnerable
