Agree they won't pick a fight with Israel. But Israel is not going to leave them alone. It's supporting a separatist Druze movement in the South which is controlling some Syrian territory, through force, as bargaining chip to get Syria to stand down from Golan Heights for any 'peace' deal or normalization.

Lebanese and Hezbollah should be able to defend larger part of Lebanon. That doesn't mean this isn't a difficult time for them. Their supporters some of them are normal civilian people just like in Gaza people cannot withstand such hard conditions.

It's an existential fight and such fights are not fun. What's happening in Iran does not bode well for Hamas and Hezbollah's future. It creates struggles for them.

It's not an easy situation is what I'm trying to get across

It’ doesn’t bode well for Syria to be fair when Arab countries are basically openly doing bibis bidding of Israel wants to carve out more territory is Syria really nothing he can do either fight back or just watch it happen(again not a dig but I don’t see anyone other than Iran putting up a fight just playing the lip service routine )

Iran has burnt through Israel’s radar shield and her interceptor wall, so now is the time to impose a real cost on Israel, and take out some serious targets to establish a cost of war on Israel and therefore deterrence.

It’s taken a month to get to this point, Iran should not waste this opportunity again.

Meanwhile, the collective view among many foreign leaders is that Trump is looking to saddle them with a problem of his own making once he decides the war is over, according to officials familiar with the sentiments.
It’s really starting to look like even if Iran got battered as they did they won I think countries are now going to have to pay up big to use those straits again navy or navy Iran has full control of the straits and he can talk a big game but now we have an Iran that’s not going to play by the old rules anymore why would they no one else is so why should they play by those rules?

Usual american strategy, kill lots of women and children, destroy civilian infrastructure and call the victims the terrorists and the greatest threat to the world. The sooner they lose the top spot of the world the better. Trumpy as many had thought is accelerating a new world order with a multi polar world, US no longer will rule the roost, they havnt achieved a single objective against a country with decades of sanctions, no airforce, no navy, no effective air defence against warplanes.

So what do the losers do start to destroy civilian infrastructure.

Iran should not allow any US ships through the SOH and threaten to bomb any US bases in the region preemptively if they try to fix them and repopulate them. Any country that sanctions Iran or has supported this war should have to pay a toll to cross the SOH. If they destroy Irans economic infrastructure then there are other ways to pay for it.

Iran could earn daily between $150-250m a day (not including their tankers). If half of these were friendly and they waive the free, then its still around $100m daily which translates to $36.5b a year.

Iran, do it!

Yes I am in the mindset Iran won’t let this slide like in the past they will spend every missile in their arsenal to destroy or badly damage Israel’s own infrastructure or nuclear sites if they don’t Israel will go back any time they wish in the future let Bibi burn no matter the costs it has to be done
 
I have not posted much in last two days. Just trying to watch more news/analyses and update my understanding. Some thoughts.
1) The China-Pakistan 5-point declaration is loosely built upon Iran's 6 points minus, of course, the sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and reparations for war damages. There could be a face saving UNSC Resolution acceptable to all and with China inserting itself as some kind of a 'guarantor'. It is all hypothetical at this point however after the Pakistanis hosted the FM of Egypt, KSA and Turkiye recently and then the Pakistani FM rushed off to Beijing, it was not for some photo-ops. Pakistan is also constantly in touch with Washington and Tehran.
2) Netanyahu's minimal war goals are to set Iran as a nation back. Per Trita Parsi in a video today, '50-60 years' would be enough for Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire.
3) Iran still has the upper hand partly because it has nothing to lose. It can choke the global economy, destroy regional economy, along with the economies of America's allies. So Iran has considerable leverage and they are willing to fight to death to remain a sovereign nation.
4) Netanyahu's real goal is the destruction of Iran as a state while he grabs and consolidates land in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank.
5) How much beatings Israel is taking is unknown. But Israelis have a much higher threshold of pain then the Americans and Israel can also tolerate the pain for much longer.
6) Except for maybe UAE, the Arab nations have resisted falling into Israel's trap of declaring an open war on Iran.

BREAKING: Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi says what is happening between Iran and the US is an exchange of messages, either directly or through "friends," not "negotiations," per Bloomberg.

Details include:

1. Araghchi says he is receiving messages from US Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff

2. Message exchanges are happening within a "defined" framework across government and under the supervision of Iran’s national security council

3. Araghchi says Iran has NOT sent a response to the US "15-point" proposal

4. Araghchi says Iran has not made any decisions regarding negotiations but has some remarks and Iran’s conditions are "clear"

Talks appear to be slowly materializing.
