Against modern EO/IIR seekers even a 5th gen is vulnerable as it happened before with F-35. Iranian EO/IIR seekers used in SAMs like 358, Azaraksh, Majid, Mishagh-3/sahand all use a filtration logic between decoys/DIRCM and real target like the Russian Verba. If they lock visually then they dont care if its a low RCS or not ... that only works against radar guided SAMs.

This downed fighter is probably an F-15 judging by tail design but lets see.

Especially for the ground attack 5th gen like the F-35, they usually gonna fly at lower altitude to drop the ammunition on the targets.

So far we have 6 x F-15 visually confirmed incidents. 3 in Kuwait, Two were shown before being hit with a SAM on EO/IR tracking sight, this F-35 claim seems to be the 6th F-15.

It looks like the 4th gen aircrafts are really prone to get shot down easily compared to the 5th gen aircrafts.

Maybe China should provide more tips to Iran how to shoot down the 5th gen aircrafts.

Yes, also shows you the different approaches between USAF/USN and Israeli airforce. Israelis usually or mostly stay out of enemy airspace and use long ranged SOWs, ALBMs with range. Their entire 12 day war was fought from over Iraqi airspace with 1-2 incidents entering or attempting to enter the airspace of Iran when F-15i was caught jettisoning and flaring after being shot at by Khordad battery. There was no other incident.

Meanwhile, USAF because they lack dedicated SOWs/ALBMs on fighter jets relies upon heavy bombing from above enemy, they do SEAD clearance of enemy airdefence because of this.

I think it is time for China to stop building those 4th gen & 4.5 gen aircrafts.

It is time to focus on the 6th gen on quality and 5th gen on quantity.

That makes sense because Chinese control the rare earth market and US has heavily depleted its stocks in Iran in just one month. They need certain elements used in seekers, electronics, composites that only Chinese vendors offer ... If war drags on, Russia and China will have full control over US replenishment of its wasted stocks.

I think extremely biased media from Persian Gulf Arab countries favoring Israel like Al-Arabiya, Al-Jazeera, Iran-international etc should be banned in this thread. They are a full adversary in this war against Iran providing heavy logistics and physical support to US-Israel, why should their propaganda be allowed in an Iranian thread ?
