Attacking energy infrastructure would be most likely option in front of trump. Attacking islands would take time and a small win for them if they manage to capture Abu Musa and other 2 Tunb islands after a while. Land operation on Iranian shores would be too risky and costly and they dont have enough personnel. Attacking Iranian oil-infra would risk uae and bahraini oil-infra and would sky rocket the already rising prices. Attacking a mountain base with a tactical nuke is also not possible at the moment because it would risk israel in very different ways than before.
What can happen after Iranian energy infrastructure is attacked is the question and that can be their plan to shape the narrative depending on Iran's reaction. For example if Iran reacts with a large scale attack on uae nuclear power plant then usa can make a sabotage there or just say that there is a core melt down and environmental radiation hazard to shape the narrative. Then the aim would be to unite gcc against Iran militarily and try to shape the world narrative against Iran if they can. Similar lies were produced for Zaporizia nuclear power plant in Ukraine to accuse Russia.
For a retaliation strike many isreali power plants(nuclear as well if they attack Iranian nuclear sites) can be attacked, also Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait has non nuclear power plants that can be attacked. For uae the nuclear plant should not be attacked directly but the cables and energy nodes that connect them to their main cities can be attacked with much less risk.
