China doesn't have any historical grudges against the Islamic world....we are natural allies.

Firstly, there is no historical hatred.

Secondly, China is a world island country and can project influence on the world islands itself. Therefore, the core of China's sea power strategy is Pakistan and the Indian Ocean(China's interest in Africa is even greater than its interest in Europe), and its main demand for the Middle East is oil.

Thirdly, China has no interest in petroleum currency. China is betting on gold and electricity.

Fourthly, due to historical reasons, Chinese people generally believe that the Silk Road is China's best wealth strategy, and the Arab Empire and Persian Empire are our best trading partners in history. if the US really wanted to surge forces for a large ground invasion they’d first have to stop Iran from landing successful strikes on their forward bases so they can gather without disruption. if you know you can’t secure your frontline bases just don’t fight the war.

You're right. There are two kinds of gathering points. Land bases and Navy ships. Both of them are distributed to avoid strikes. But also are farther than in other landings.
That means that troops will not enjoy not CAS support all time because long distances. And even worse, if they just use light troops, no armored support or artillery will be close enough for fast answer.
