Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I am trying to assess the combat readiness of Iranians against a highly organized force with a lot of combat experience in different terrains.

You want Iran to find 1 pilot in this terrain:

Last picture is Lordegan area which is just KMs away from where helicopters were reported.

Judging Iran’s ground forces because they cannot find a needle in a haystack is very short sighted.

US special forces are the best in the world. Hands down. No debate. The U.S. military excels at two tasks really really well: Blitzkreig air attack operations (Midnight Hammer) and Special Forces raids (Bin Laden raid, Al Baghdadi raid).

You cannot expect Iran to match the U.S. in either of these two areas or even come close.

The good news is, Iranian islands and coastline won’t be invaded by tens of thousands of special forces, it will be infantry and marines having to attack then hold territory and defend. That’s very different than quick infiltration operations by highly skilled operators

Its not the the US special forces are the best, but its a force multiplier when you have a team of helicopters and a "homing" location to tell you where to go

you bet they are going to make more of those
Even if he end up dead there they will make a movie.
Something like he will travel from his crash site to Tehran and will assassinate the supreme leader, get killed in the process .....ahhhh shameless Americans and their Bollywood cousins.

Huh 🤔

Missing US airman recovered, but rescue operation ongoing
We have more on the US operation inside Iran.

A US government official has told Al Jazeera that the rescue operation is still in progress.

The missing crew member is confirmed rescued, they said. but not safe yet. The rescue team must still successfully exfiltrate from Iran and get back to safety, they added.

real combat and a movie, two different scenarios. All boys are well trained but every second is clicking time bomb...

AJ English or the US official are making shit up

AJ Arabic is 1,000x more reliable and didn't post anything about it.

Or US officials trying to confuse Iranian teams on ground

Why would US official tell AJ before an American news outlet like NYT or WSJ or CBS or NBC who all have reporters pounding their sources to tell them the latest leaks

Targeting storage tanks only causes very temporary easily mitigated damage. Iran is still holding back by not attacking actual refining equipment. Almost a waste of a missile imho.

Storage tanks are where oil goes before getting sent to a terminal to get loaded onto a tanker. Without storage tanks and on shore storage, wells have to be shut down which is damaging to the well and requires a long restart period.

This isn’t 1991 where you have to set fire to wells. You can accomplish things much easier by attacking the refineries, storage tanks, and oil terminals which will force operators to shut down wells because there is no where for the oil to go downstream.
