Iran has prepared for a war with the US for decades. Unlike members here, it doesnt deal in emotions. It deals in strategy.
Capturing the pilot would have been nice, but how are you going to find a needle in a haystack? Iran is a humonous country. Even if the crash site was known. The pilot had a beacon which made his coordinates known to the US.

And people painting a doomsday scenario on the account of the US supposedly managing to have a forward base in Esfahan.
Are people looking at the same photos as I am? US aircraft obliterated.
Im not buying this "stuck in sand" story. So many gaping holes in that theory. You're meaning to tell me the US was unlucky enough to have two of its aircraft stuck?
Judging from the photos, that sand looks rather packed and solid.

Devoting precious military resources for a hopeless manhunt on one crew member, for the sake of (in the grand scheme of things) a small tactical victory, would have diverted attention away from the overarching goal.
Im pretty sure the mission was not the success media is portraying. We dont have all the information, and we may never have it.

Some people here just post in affect. Not healthy for you, this war will be for the long haul. Chill down, or just divorce yourselves emotionally from this war. Otherwise you're gonna have a tough period of months (potentially longer).

several helicopter and another hercules got sent to the site and got hit on their way

then all the unopertional aircraft got abandoned

Some people here are just too emotional and illogical.

Iran is facing the greatest conventional military in history plus many other allies forces in terms of support, logistics and intelligence. Despite all this, the Americans are acting increasingly desperate.

Iran inflicted a great damage by downing the F15, A10s and they had to rush in to rescue their pilots because that would have been a significant propaganda victory for Iran from their perspective ( and they are correct). However from irans perspective this is just one incident, there will be be many more of these should Iran continue to adapt and improve.

Some of you think real war is a video game where Iran can teleport manpads to every area at will whilst it enemies have overwhelmingly intelligence and air power.

So stop the childish nagging. If you can’t tolerate the emotions then take some time off from this thread.

Trump cannot continue this for much longer. Things will only continue to get worse for the Americans should this war continue.

Explain it as you wish, but it remains a failure. I hope we are not equally ill-prepared should they initiate ground operations. We can, at the very least, conclude that the IRGC-AF is the only competent component of our defense.

Iran is facing the worlds largest military power by far and doing fantastic under the circumstances. Despite Dump Dolun Trump claiming air superiority America losing kit left right and centre. This pilot thing imo required luck and its just one of those things. Just remember the Americans knew where their airman was all the time. I think considering they knew exactly where he was and possibly even in communication with him the whole episode shows American incompetence to lose so much kit and they are lucky they didnt lose any lives. They except they have injured how do we know if those injuries are not life changing. These days they save a lot of injured soldiers. In Vietnam for every 3 injuries 1 died in Iraq it was 7 injuries 1 died. But injuries say a loss of limbs means loss to individual and Americans

I can't seem to find any images of evidence of an american "FOB" near Isfahan. Does anyone have any evidence of this?

Iranian are fighting this war rather intelligently than being emotional. Capturing a US pilot could have been a big thing in the context of war but it looks like Iran's pure focus is on increasing the cost of war for both Israel and the US. It's rather incredible how Iran has managed to hit so many high value targets so far....
