Did Khamenai and his advisors really have this much of an anti-war stance on the IRGC? Is this who the IRGC always were or is it the new group charge?

Then you have to re-read what Clausewitz originally said: War is the continuation of POLICY by other means.

Trust is a side issue. POLICY is the main issue. If you cannot find yourself to trust Iran under the mullahs, what do you believe is their policy if Iran is a nuclear weapons state? Keep in mind, you could be wrong, just like anyone else here.

The policy was devised long long before the WW1, a long time prior to even the when Queen Victoria's advisors suggested her to wish to have the Hijaz Railway destroyed. And when that one particular "Lord" made the case that the Arabs specifucucally and Muslims in general must be divided and kept under control one way or another even though they speak the same language and largely have the same religion.

No mattet Pakistan is not getting affected, apart from price hikes. I hope Asim Munir somehow succeed in ending hostilities, between Iran and USA, before much of the Muslim world is thrown into Stone Age.. Every minute it’s an increase in depressed mood of what will happen..

Israel posted bombing of Russian AD equipment in Syria, 2-3 years back, if u remember.. If there would have been any such event there would have been proofs.. Got to sleep u had a lot of Tharra(Whisky)..
