3 possibilities:
- Trump is bluffing, in which case, yes, betrayal in form of a deal would be bad
- Trump is not bluffing, but Iran has some plan to push back or cause collateral damage in such a way that US has to retreat. Fine, no need for a betrayal either.
- Trump is not bluffing and Iran has no workable plan to deal with the consequences.
In first 2 cases, yes, maybe we can talk about betrayals and other moral responsibilities.
In the 3rd case however, I would hope someone like Pakistan can convince Iran to back out in a way that keeps Iran's survival for a better future to come, maybe once US empire completes its natural time.
I'm not saying which ones of these outcomes will happen. I'm just saying that Just, just in case of the 3rd outcome, a deal in works might be better than nothing.
Remember Gaza, morality and principles, etc,
unfortunately, unfortunately, do not always matter if there is no way out of a bad situation. Its always better to have some remote way out, even if it feels like a defeat.
