The Korean War (1950-1953), which began in 1950 and in which we also participated and lost 741 martyrs, was stopped not by a peace treaty but by a small ceasefire.
Today, a formal peace treaty has still not been signed; yet that "small" ceasefire of that day has transformed into an environment of non-conflict that continues to this day.
If Pakistan can be successful tonight, it could become the architect of a historic peace process.
Congratulations, Pakistan
