So is this a ceasefire in everything but name I feel like the Iranians no something is coming and are making sure there no staging of troops for a land invasion
@Immortals @Persian Gulf

It’s okay if something is coming. The time gives Iran to open up missile bases. Move air defenses around. Prepare more weapons. Possibly Move any fighter jets/helicopters and passenger planes to safer locations.

The strait remains closed. So the energy crisis worsens.

The ball is in the U.S. court, either they are serious about a peace deal or they bomb Iran again, in which case Qalibaf and Argachi can be tied to the next missiles sent to Israel for falling for the same trick.

The US can win militarily and be defeated politically at the same time!

Destroying Iran, exhausting it, and striking at its solid structure remains an incomplete achievement if it does not turn into a clear political gain.
Therefore, Pakistan's negotiations are more valuable than killing Khamenei and bombing Iran.

American political victory has clear signs:

1. Ending the Iranian nuclear file completely.
2. Stop enrichment completely.
3. Cutting off Iran's hand from agents in the region.
4. Imposing strict controls on the missile and drone program, limiting it to defense limits only.
5. Restoring the Strait of Hormuz to its normal, safe state as it was.

Otherwise, the war will remain a major military blow, but with an incomplete political harvest.

A social account qouting the New York Post.

Desperate now huh?

Why are you the way you are? Multiple sources are carrying the NYP post information. If you don’t like it don’t respond. I am not sure what you are complaining about. You are saying Trump didn’t say these words? Really? Calling everything fake news is just childish.

Each attempt to deal and negotiate giving money to Iran, it will be another excuse to Israel for restart the war. Like happened twice before.

USA is like the demon of a old story, spreading chaos and making morons do evil things for bags of gold coins, like they successfully did in Ukraine/Europe.

USA first weapon is not military, it's money for corrupt everyone.

Maybe if the money would be only for relatives of killed in war and rebuild civilian infrastructure it couldn't used as excuse for launch war again against Iran.

But of course no one is interested in that. Everyone in negotiations is interested in fill own pockets first, and of course, Iran never will be enough fool to stop development of weapons.

I think in this point, it's unstoppable another wars there, deals/money only will contribute to make bigger the military fireworks when war will be restarted.

The talks are going to happen at very opposite set of demands & huge distrust.

Let's see what will happen. For a successful negotiations both sides will require to come down from their initial positions. It's give and take. I know both Iranians and americans don't want to come down from their demands but that will eventually happen if negotiations have to be successful.

Here's my assessment below:

I think, Iran will keep its toll system on strait for a defined number of years as reparation cost. Iran may get some limited sanction relief in exchange of HEU dilation and commitment to stop nuclear weapon program. US will never compromise on nuclear issue & 60% HEU. Iran will never compromise or even include ballistic missiles as part of discussion.

Also, there's one particular point on which it is going to be very difficult. United States have to resettle and repopulate its military bases in the region. It is essential for US Hegemony in the region. But at the same time, this would be extremely difficult for Iran to accept this demand.

The toll system in SOH will be tricky for Iran if its put in indefinitely.

A reasonable compromise may be for Iran to tally up its economic loss - lets say if its $100bn then tolls will run until the damages have been recovered. An independent auditor can be nominated to confirm the money recovered.

Nations which supported the war direct or indirect, who have sanctioned Iran will be under toll. There will be exceptions for countries like Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Ireland, lower rates or no rates for friendly countries. No Israeli ships allowed, no US military ships allowed to use the Strait.

If Oman doesnt want to be part of it, a separate account for Oman is setup they are paid annually and its up to them if they want to give that money back.

I think this is a reasonable compromise.
start by having it for reparations can keep later, If Oman dont want their share give it to Pakistan we dont mind having it. In fact we should take UAE oil as well

Any other news regarding the security implementations that Pakistan is doing besides BBC News? Is parts of the city being evacuated?

Nope there's no evacuations.

Only red zone being sealed. This is normal practice. The zone has no residential areas but only important govt buildings
