Why are ballistic missiles ineffective? The main reason is how they are used.
In the October War of 1967, ballistic missiles and Luna missiles were employed to: 1- Destroy jamming and electronic warfare centers.
2- Destroy Hawk surface-to-air missile batteries.
3- Destroy airfields in Sinai.
In the First Gulf War, Iraq and Iran used missiles in urban warfare. If the missile strikes had been concentrated on targeting airfields, the war would have been shorter.
Simply put, what is the value of missiles that only strike buildings? Iranian, Lebanese, and Yemeni missiles damaged 18,000 buildings in Israel, and perhaps caused 20,000 injuries and 2,000 deaths.
They were not even used against Israel's 13 airfields, nor against the Dimona nuclear reactor, nor against all the desalination and power plants, all the chemical factories, the Ashdod refinery, and others. In other words, only a limited percentage of the valuable targets were struck. Simply put, when Israel loses its water, electricity, and fuel, it collapses. When all its military sites are completely bombed, it collapses. Simply put, it's a misuse of capabilities, whether fully or not. Whoever launches the missiles fears hitting strategic targets in a way that Israel cannot, and Israel doesn't hesitate to do so against Iran. We all agree that what happened was a small truce for the benefit of America and Israel, preparing the ground to change the situation on the ground. That's why more than 100 military cargo planes arrived in Israel and American bases in the Middle East to provide ammunition to complete the strike on Iran. Israel doesn't see any real deterrence from Iran. We are not criticizing Iran or trying to insult or belittle it, but rather putting things in their proper perspective to correct the objectives and for Iran to make its future strikes effective and deadly for Israel. When Israel and America see that the Iranian threats are being carried out, they will be deterred.
