Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

BREAKING: The United Arab Emirates said it quit OPEC and OPEC+, dealing a heavy blow to the oil exporting groups and their de facto leader, Saudi Arabia, at a time when the Iran war has caused a historic energy shock and unsettled the global economy https://reut.rs/48neWBu
Ah well guess the UAE doesn't like OPEC's forced quotas. They probably want more control over production. They do have significant oil reserves and production rate.

The UAE's withdrawal from OPEC is a political victory for Trump.

Trump has always wanted to lower oil prices by increasing oil production, while the United Arab Emirates has always wanted to increase production to 5 million barrels, but OPEC has never agreed.

Of course, China is also happy to see the UAE increase its oil production. Russia might not be happy.

The awkward situation of the United Arab Emirates in the Iran War is also one of the reasons.

Are you sure about It?.

I am not an expert in oil trading... But if they're out, wouldn't they export their oil in other currencies aside of USD and Swift payments?.

That would be a major blow to US debt machine.

Anyone can give a much more knowledgeable info about repercussions?.

The exact currency of trade would have nothing to do with this decision. It is a decision taken out of need, as their cash flow is now being put at risk by the Hormuz stand off.
