I think it would be wrong to assume that the American naval assets could remain indefinitely and as far as the land based attacks on Iran, only the UAE (and perhaps Bahrain/Kuwait) remain the options. Add to that, multiple sources are saying Iran can sustain the Blockade for months. Combined with the news about Iran still retaining a significant chunk of its missiles and drones, I don't see how Iran will capitulate due to the Blockade.

The US assets rotate in high seas... it is a blue-water navy! So, eventhough US will most likely lose bases in the Gulf because of their proximity to Iran and Its highly effective missile program. Iranians will however remain under the US maritime regime. Hence the blockade of the blockade. The problem for US however is that even returning to the gulf doesn't translate into credible security for its assets. That is in spite of the preclusions devising policies which "hope" to collapse the state from inside. Iranians are resilient and all I'm saying is that they need a more long-term solution.

Also, you are probably wrong that the effects of this war are not reaching America. Not only there is a political cost to Trump--and he should fear an impeachment post Midterms elections--Americans are indeed feeling some pain due to this war.

The effects that I implied are not the expense of gas or overall inflation and pain. I was talking about actual shortages of fuel at the pump. The cost however is unbearable because an average American paycheck already is stretched to the max as it is... therefore the pain is immediate. And lastly I don't think orange cares much at this point of midterms... where you'll start seeing the Republican candidates will start actively distancing themselves from his positions while allowing him to finish his agenda. That is the inherent trap of the system that the pendulum keeps swinging... bringing the same back once it reaches its max at the other end.

PS. When you use 'Eurasian' then don't forget Europe/West is part of Eurasia and they are increasingly distancing themselves from the Zionist led American policies in the Middle East.

Europe will be a beneficiary once it finds its feet. US took out economic lifeline of Germany by destroying the infrastructure... and now they find themselves at the precipice... where they can't access both proximate sources of energy and instead have to buy American.
The euroasian connectivity once done will create conditions to absorb European markets in a more wholesome manner.

Americans can't do another D-Day against a middling power like Iran. It maybe a blue water navy but is also stretched thin--and no appetite to die for Israel. I think you and others could benefit from Chas Freeman on Dialog Works today--first 10-20 minutes would be enough. I see now way the American fleet could be deployed indefinitely against Iran and by now most sane analysts say that Trump 'wants out' and that is understood by the Iranians well, and thus the Iranian hardline.

"Unbearable" means a lot. And, yes, Trump should be and probably is afraid of an Impeachment after the Midterms.
