Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

You cannot claim "freedom of navigation" in Iranian territorial waters! It is madness that Iran tolerates this bogus narrative.

I know you and others may not like this but technically the Strait maybe passing through Iranian and the Omanian waters but there is no international law which grants Iran the rights to own the Strait. Maybe there could be a law in future but the Strait is not the same as the Panama or the Suez Canals. Even an anti-war great analyst like Chas Freeman says what Iran is doing is illegal but he, like me and others, also acknowledge that Iran was attacked in an illegal war and that should not be discounted either.
Just sayin!

My interpretation has always been based on available international law doctrine. Granted, I may have interpreted it incorrectly, but feel free to clarify the above for me if you feel that is the case.

Yes, thats true about territorial waters but free passage of goods through tight spots is usually allowed unless some Treaty or international law is applied. If one were to accept any country to restrict the flow of traffic then the Strait of Malacca and the Bab el Mandab also come under some countries' jurisdictions. And probably more such passages on the globe. Just because an illegal war has been launched on Iran doesn't have to become a total Law of the Jungle. Suez and Panama Canals are man made. The flow through the Turkish waters (Bosporus) are under international laws.

We go down a slippery slope if we totally disregard all international laws just because some do. Even President Trump is trying to put a veneer of laws by trying to seek a UNSC Resolution against Iran.

Care to elaborate, please?
Russian President's Press Secretary Peskov announced at a press conference today that Russian President Putin will soon visit China, and the specific date will be announced in the near future. Since the presidents of Iran, the United States, and Russia have all visited Beijing, China must know their bottom line on the outcome of the war. The war can certainly come to an end.

So this really shows you why Iran has had a hard on by hitting uae harder than most other GCC states even though they got hit pretty hard as well but Iran was relentlessly focusing on UAE so embarrassing it’s so embarrassing I won’t even tag certain people who might get upset 😂 seriously no shame at all and Bibi openly stating he was thrown the red carpet for a war that has cost UAE probably close to 200 billion by now in economic losses shows you these guys are really cucks if highest order that one was for you @Kyussis

Hope so. I would like to see It. Good luck. It is the gordian knot. Wish China luck with It.

Either trump is lying about china agreeing to iran's nukes.

Or Taiwan is doomed.

Iran can't defend its sky, therefore it will never ends.

Maybe not entirely true. Pakistan's retired Air Commodore Khalid Chisti, claiming to have seen confidential data, says that Iran has some capability to shoot down fighter jets. Maybe the so-called 'rescue' mission resulted in the Isfahan clashes a few weeks ago where several American aircrafts were destroyed point to those Iranian capabilities. Mr. Chisti even says that Iran can, in some circumstances, hit F-35s and has hit at least one but didn't down it.
You see: Multiple American/Israelis jets inside the Iranian airspace could be downed with casualties or captured personnel, and those would be a big political problem for both Netanyahu and Trump. It is not like when India lost multiple jets to Pakistan in the May 2025 conflict and basically Indians don't have much of a PR problem--they seem to be taken those in strides.

Israel is 1500 km away from Tehran. The F-35 has a combat radius of 1000 km.

Without the support of the US military and US bases, Israel did not attack Iran. Iran has the capability to attack Israel.

Several easily verifiable facts:

1. China's oil reserves are increasing, not decreasing.

2. Half a month ago, the Chinese govt lifted the ban on oil exports. China is exporting a large amount of petroleum products.

3. China's coal-to-liquid refining industry enters the market.
