Here's the part I think is overconfident and risky- US is not in the same situation or power level it had decades ago- the wrong mistake now could unravel US's dominance and global position, because the US's vulnerabilities today are way worse and problematic for it than before. the global environment US exists in today is way different ,so I do not agree that US's risks and losses are always "tiny" or "minor corrections needed".
