Actually, both Germany and the American South are still far better than Persia economically, regardless of any funny accents.
And why do you think that is? Perhaps Persia's insistence on pursuing nuclear technology may have something to do with it, or it is just a failure of long term foreign policies and geopolitical isolation?

Why should the Iranians not be allowed nuclear weapons? Who gets to decide? Genocidal maniacs who have murdered 10s of 1000s of Palestinian babies are allowed nukes so why can't the Iranians? They are unmeasureably more civilised, responsible and humane than the mass baby killers.

A little offtopic but I don't understand some Arab's resistance to use 'Persian Gulf'. There is a giant sea named as 'Arabian Sea' which even Indians don't mind using and the Pakistanis use 'Indian Ocean'. If anything, Pakistan, given its large land and very large population should have some 'Bay of Pakistan' or 'Pakistan Sea' or whatever with 'Pakistan' but Pakistanis don't make an issue of that.
