There are public statements and public posturing, and then there are the things that go behind the scenes.

Even if Trump personally doesn’t want escalation, I have no doubt that large sections of the major US state apparatus (particularly the military and intelligence) are more closely aligned with Israel than his administration. They will work to serve Israel’s interests more than Trump’s or even the US’s interests. So even if Trump tried, he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

Looks like these were, I hope Israel intercept these missiles, kind of launches. If so why even bother? This salvo wasn't meant to hit anything so why risk a huge retaliation by IAF as in taking out strategic/economic targets in Iran which US told IAF to avoid during Epic Furry?

At minimum these waves of missiles are showing that Israel & US lost the war terribly. The whole point of Israel-US waging a war and attacking Iran cowardly in the middle of negotiations was to collapse the regime and end Iran's Ballistic missile & drones capability. Here we are after 100 days, in your face. The regime is not only intact but even stronger and Ballistic missiles are still being launched to this day. What was the point of this war again? lol

Iran was defender in this war. For Iran to win the war was only to survive, keep fighting back without losing any territory. Iran not only met those minimum requirements to win the war but also hit and damaged atleast 16 US bases in the region and above all got control of strait of hormuz which was open before the war. So that's Epic Fury of United States is actually Epic Failure !

Looking at these public statements,especially the one from Ben Gvir (retard). It is clear that Israel's pride as the power in the region has taken a major hit.

They operated under the assumption that they could strike Beirut without facing real consequences. Iran is now giving a wake up alarm here and is controlling the escalation ladder.

Neither side has true escalation dominance.

Israel definitely has more offensive power than Iran. However, it is severely hampered by the fact that it has a limited defensive stockpile compared to the offensive stockpile that Iran has. And there is a restocking problem (time to get the interceptors, as well as the number of interceptors).

Hence, Israel on its own (and even with US support, as we’ve seen) cannot escalate against Iran without the risk of running out of interceptors and the continued war becoming existential for them.

Hence, iran cannot escalate because it knows it can attract more Israeli/US offensive strikes. And Israel cannot escalate because its defensive stockpile with further deplete to critically low levels.

But credit to Iran for building deterrence. It is able to exact severe costs on the US in the region, and the US/Israel have no answer to that.

Why no JF-17s for them? That money helps PAC do R & D on next versions. The project is of significant value, it adds to the economy. We are not even involved in the conflict. Iran never cancelled its port project with india when we and india did a small 4 days war. It was cancelled later by india because Trump told india to leave Iran.

National decisions are not taken the way you have mentioned dear.
