Please do not be mistake about this but US may not actively engage in strikes against Iran but it will not shy away from protecting Israel at all cost.

Trump from his part wants the fighting between "Israel" and Hezbollah stopped without addressing the root cause: "Israel's" military presence in Southern Lebanon.
He also wants the Lebanon's govt and army to disarm Hezbollah. He promised the US will militarily support them when they undertake this disarmament endeavor. In other words, he wants a civil war in Lebanon - with the US backing Christian/Druze/Sunni against Lebanese Shia.
So, in any way you look at it, Trump is facilitating "Israel's" territorial ambitions in Southern Lebanon. And this is why Trump, "Israel", and the Lebanese govt want to separate the Hezbollah file from the current negotiations with Iran. Alhamdulillaah, the Iranian govt refused to accept this demand.

Trump can 'want' whatever but what Iran won during the actual war is how humanity has ever worked. No nation has ever given away to its adversary after shedding its blood. Wars won during the battle grounds are never lost on the negotiating tables. Ever.

If there was any doubt about where America and its interests stand then look at how Trump is asking Israel to scale back on Iran. To my amateur mind in early April of this, there was no doubt who had gained the upper hand when the ceasefire was announced. Even my amateur mind had grasped that.

If Iran responds then we realize that Iran has purposely went back to war to break the deadlock in negotiations and put pressure on Trump.

I can apply the same line of logic to Kuwait, Bahrain or Qatar. What do you want them to do when the US uses their territory to attack us? By that logic, we should have never attacked them either.

Israel had 2 forward bases in Iraq to operate against Iran. Two that we already know about because they were exposed, there's probably more. Iraq has been doing nothing to stop Israeli activities against Iran, not even diplomatically.
Yet, Iran exempted Iraq from the Strait of Hormuz tolls. The only country that was fully exempted. Why? Why are we rewarding Iraq for being the launch platform of nearly all Israeli strikes on Iran?
