That longterm engagement is detrimental to US presence in the region.
That Iran now has sovereignty over the straits and regional power structure has fundamentally rearranged in favor of Iran... where before Iran was a factor in Mideast and now it is THE Eminent power of Mideast...

If you think Iran is the eminent power of the Middle East now, you haven't been paying close attention to what is happening.
Iran has always been a powerhouse in the region.
Iran absolutely dominated the region from 2005 to 2012. Everything went downhill after Rohani came to power and handed over 13 tons of LEU and +200 kilograms of HALEU to the US while getting nothing of value in return.The ceasefire was a treason by the rich, comfort-seeking regime elements, imposed by the Chinese and mediated by Pakistan. It signed the death certificate of Iran as it neutralized Iran's remaining cards. The rest of it is just blah blah nonsense. Everybody literate enough to have read the news in the past 2 months can see what has happened after the ceasefire.

Iran's weak response to repeated violations by the americans/israelis has emboldened the epstein class to go for the jugular, there is no point in destroying empty arab bases because yanks dont care about arab countries.
Correct approach would have been to go madman on israel and block red sea and race towards acquiring nukes as soon as america/israel started this war, because it became apparent from that point on that there is no deal to be had with the epstein regime.

Iran submitted to additional inspections and intrusions on it's sovereignty... even with JCPOA... which was to reclaim own assets and do free trade as the rest... except for its place in global order was claimed by an imposter settler colonial entity.

There are no reports of Iran targeting water related facilities in the GCC or Israel so far, so why would the US attack a water facility ? I am not disputing that this happened, only the why. Was this a pre-emptive attack on water facilility by the US ?
