Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

after weeks of insisting negotiations are totally frozen and not happening, Iran admits negotiations are active and ongoing

they even said Iran had withdrawn from negotiations after the US attacked Iran several times

awkward moment when Trump was telling the truth all along and Iran was lying through their teeth

They're all in on it raking in hundreds of billions of dollars from market speculation due to the very war they are controlling from both sides.

Nothing is like as it appears.

This thread needs to avoid jingoism and subjectivity that have crept into the discourse of late. Even the most diehard Iranian ultra will need to acknowledge that something has quite suddenly gone wrong. Iran brought NOTHING NEW to bear in this period, either militarily, or diplomatically, or strategically.

These last two weeks have seen Iran rather pathetically surrender the carefully constructed leverage it had amassed in the preceding two months.

Even if the latest salvo of Iranian missiles and drones impacted some US bases in response to the US strikes, which may well be the case, it matters little if the perception persists that Iran could not respond with sufficient vigour to exert harm upon American objectives or to even stall American progress.

Still, this drama is far from over. Iran surprised us all two months ago. I still feel they will try a more novel approach soon enough.

Mojtaba folded just like his father in the end.

Iran wants to sign a 60 day ceasefire extension to begin negotiations on the nuclear program, which they will certainty then use to stall Trump until mid terms so that republicans suffer large losses
That's not how it works. Sixty days from now is early August elections are in early Nov once the 60 days are up if Iran hasn't agreed with what Orangeman wants he's gonna bomb again. Orangeman losing in the midterms is the norm it has happened to just about every president since the 80's however the dems have selected whacked out candidates and SCOTUS has deemed race redistricting illegal so southern states have been removing congressional democrat seats giving republicans seats by default so republicans will keep the house and very likely keep the senate.

Indeed the jingoism and subjectivity have really crept into this thread.

Ok bomb again? What’s that gonna achieve? Iran isn’t Gaza the size of a postage stamp.

In 60 days Put on the blockade again. It will take time to bite again. Meanwhile August turns into September which turns in October. There is no military solution to this problem despite what your Brain likes to tell you.

so republicans will keep the house and very likely keep the senate.

WOW. Gonna say no to your delusional. Betting markets say the opposite. They aren’t keeping the house. Senate maybe/probably with a narrow majority.

It’s clear you are so biased it’s not even worth talking with you. Go to the American perspective thread where you can be in your own echo chamber.

BREAKING: Iran's Foreign Ministry directly rejects Trump's new claim that "everyone in Iran has approved the deal," including the Supreme Leader, saying no one has accepted it, and "no agreement has been reached," per Fars.

Any agreement requires the US to "accept every demand" from Iran, including that it won't surrender enriched uranium or make nuclear concessions, that the Strait of Hormuz remains permanently under Iranian management, and the transfer of $24 billion in frozen funds. Iran adds "if it were to yield under pressure, it would have done so a year ago" rather than after sustained US bombing.

The spokesperson also denied Trump's claim that the Strait of Hormuz would reopen on a deal signing, saying it "remains closed" under Iranian authority and "safe passage is not possible."

While the US made a noticeable concession in the text of the agreement on Wednesday and presented it to Iran through the Qatari mediator, it also launched a media and intimidation campaign to suggest that Iran had backed down under the threat of bombardment.

But now, in the real world, Trump has backed down, accepted the same text from two weeks ago, and is awaiting final approval from Iranian officials.
