Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Surprised to see so many Likes to hostile responses to PM Shehbaz's Tweet about the impending Deal. Some seem even Iranians cursing Pakistan. But then Indians are probably the largest factor here as they swarm every place to target Pakistan. But I think Pakistan's own massive 250 million population gives the Pakistanis some punch in the social media.

What Pakistan is doing is excellent and worthy of praise for sheer persistence alone. 100% a viable (emphasis on "viable"!) peace deal is in our interests as much as the belligerent parties'.

I just wish we would go about it quietly and more tactfully.

Not least because - as you already alluded to - Indians are the main spoiler here and are drawn to our business like moths to flames.

pahalvists and indians are stinking up every twitter post about a MoU

I guess it comes with the territory on forums like this. They're always going to be people talking a big game behind their anonymous keyboard.
To be fair the “gentleman” you are speaking to is also on the spectrum I definitely disagree with the other guy but seeing that this is guy is just as bad is kind of laughable that you replied to this guy.
Have the ability to call out both sides and no way you haven’t seen his many troll posts 🤦

Slight correction: Not moths to flames. More like maggots to dung! ;) Not that the Pakistani PM's Tweet was 'dung'!

But I don't think Indians can be 'spoilers' and Pakistanis are not missing any chance to rub it in since India's Operation Sindoor in May 2025.
Israelis are the real spoilers--in Israel and via their proxies in America.

The tweet came an hour after JD Vance tweet. Shahbaz has remained pretty tight lipped in recent weeks about the whole affair. JD vance and Shahbaz denial about rumors seems like a coordinated response to avoid derailment of latest peace deal efforts

Reuters. Things are moving in right direction for Iran!

  • Two sources say at least $10 billion to be unlocked under deal
  • First $3 billion tranche already sent, sources say
  • Deal includes revived economic ties, source says
  • UAE official says Gulf state aims to ease regional tensions
  • Iran sought similar pact with two other Gulf states, source says
DUBAI/LONDON, June 12 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates has agreed to unlock billions of dollars for Iran, four sources said, in a tactical shift after weeks of Iranian attacks on the wealthy Gulf Arab state during the U.S.-Israeli war with the Islamic Republic.
Word of the move, which has not ‌been previously reported, coincides with the final stages of broader negotiations between Tehran and Washington on ending the war, talks that diplomats say could involve the release of tens of billions of dollars in Iranian oil revenues frozen in foreign banks under U.S. sanctions.

Two regional sources told Reuters the UAE had agreed to release a total of $10 billion, more than $3 billion of which had already been delivered.
Two other sources with knowledge of the arrangement put the total funds involved at $20 billion, adding that the move had been agreed in return for a halt to Iranian attacks on the UAE. One of the sources with knowledge of the arrangement also said a first tranche of $3 billion had already been made available.

PM Shehbaz says final Iran-US peace deal text has been agreed

  • Describes the development as the closest the sides have come to ending months of conflict
June 12, 2026

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Friday that a final text of the proposed peace agreement between the United States and Iran has been agreed upon, describing the development as the closest the sides have come to ending months of conflict.

In a statement posted on X, Shehbaz said Pakistan’s mediation efforts were continuing despite what he described as attempts to undermine the process through misinformation.

“Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of an incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal,” he wrote.

Iran says deal to end fighting with US has 'never been closer'

Olivia Irelandand
Bernd Debusmann Jr,White House reporter

A deal with the US to end fighting in Iran has "never been closer", Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has said.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has been mediating between the warring sides, echoed Araghchi's statement, saying "a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps".

US President Donald Trump reposted Araghchi's statement, which also asked the media not to speculate about the content of the deal.

Iranian media have published details of the alleged deal, prompting Trump to say they had "nothing to do with the terms that were agreed to" and "bears no relation to the truth".

Iran has provided an excellent blueprint for smaller countries who are serious about their sovereignty and national security.
Irans geography makes it quite unique as well, full of mountains. Pakistan has mountains some of the biggest in the world. But not utilised for the same reasons.

I think this deal is bad for Iran but if Iran gets $24 billion as said by multiple sources, then it's definitely better than nothing. $24 billion will prevent Iran's economy from collapsing this year.

I don't think the $300 billion reconstruction plan will ever materialize. Too good to be true.

The only problem is that I cannot imagine any scenario where Iran-US wars would end before Trump leaves the office. And Iran most likely will not be able to survive a naval blockade and repeated cycles of air strikes for 3 years. We need to come up with a better plan for next times.
