But what the heck is a digital agreement? Do these guys really not want to see each other? Fine, then sign the agreement like you had the negotiations, anywhere in the world.

Early news was Iranians wanted to go to Geneva, and Shehbaz Sharif was all set to go as well (I think there was a tweet by some official too?)

Pay close attention to who they send to Switzerland to sign. A digital signature means that a regular foreign affairs minister can sign. Sending the Speaker of Parliament or a mid-level member of the Foreign Ministry to Switzerland can only mean one thing: Iran neither trusts nor expects the agreement to be fully implemented.

In Diplomacy details of protocols are important as the reasons.

Iran is not a geopolitical threat without nuclear deterrence. Iran is Syria 2.0 without nuclear deterrence. We couldn't even hold a ceremony for our Supreme Leader after several months because we have nearly zero defensive capabilities. Iran has no air force, no navy, almost no air defense, and trust me, if you think our air force is bad, you will be surprised to find out that our ground forces aren't any better either.
The only thing that keeps Iran safe from foreign intervention is our missile forces and we have already witnessed its limitations in TP1, TP2, TP3 and TP4. No need for more experiments about its limits.


The US also gets 60 days, just like us. Time is not on our side if the US says the blockade will remain in effect.

You talk like Russia's reason for not delivering Sukhoi-35s to Iran is money, which is baseless.

Iran only has the HEU because Trump burnt Obama’s deal.

If Iran had intended to acquire nuclear bombs - it wouldn’t have signed the Obama deal.

It’s frustrating when people ignore basic empirical facts.

As for leverage - the only reason Trump has bent over is due to the chokehold on SoH.

HEU is just a ruse to bomb Iran into a failed state.

But that has failed because Iran checkmated Trump with SoH.

LOL, $6bn in unfrozen Iranian funds, and $6bn in loan / credit would be an absolute joke. That's like blowing up your house and being 'given' your own savings and a credit card to buy another.
 
This is a temporary pause to the war in my opinion.

There are 2 points of concern for Iran in my opinion: Israel’s increasing military presence in the UAE, and Israel’s continuation of military operations in southern Lebanon.

The continuation of the military operations in southern Lebanon should have been addressed in this deal, but it hasn’t.

True, but it's a big climbdown by those who had practiced sanctions, isolation and war on Iran for decades. The US/Israel/GCC were all partners in this since 1980.
