Israel is a separate country, as hard it is for many to believe. It has expansionist regional goals but they are not the same as the American goals. Several American Presidents, from Reagan onwards, put the brakes on Israel. Biden was the most pro Israel President but even he stopped Netanyahu from attacking Iran. Trump is even more pro Israel than Biden but he too is finally putting his foot down and stopping Israel.

BTW, I don't see this theory that Americans are stopping war to replenish and attack Iran again as credible. If Americans have that plan then don't forget Iran, too, can use the lull in fighting to replenish and plan for the next war. The war is over and I don't think it is ever going to happen like it did in the recent war. Maybe Israelis do sabotages and assassinations in Ira but that's the extent of any kinetic war.
