If the traitorous reformist in Iran, like Arqachi (based on how Iranians reacted to him recently in the streets of Tehran)were right that Iran can fight a long war, then why did Iran settle for a short one? if Iran really wanted to defeat US, it should have actually declared martial law, entered full war mode, and fought US and maybe Israel for at least a year. US would have entered secret negotiations and made the concessions Iran requested to sign a peace deal with US(only if Iran actually damaged US beyond US's threshold of acceptable losses).

Iran and US are headed back to warz but it'll likely be a mid term ,intermittent , low to mid intensity type of war,until one side can't continue fighting the other one.
