Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Personally I feel that whatever happens now, Pakistani interventionism has run its course. We would do well to stay away from this gathering storm and only engage with either belligerent by clandestine mechanisms. We've tried our best to solve a gordian knot and further effort will prove futile.
I feel the opposite. The mediators are needed now, more than ever. The importance of the mediators to the international community are now more than ever. This was never going to be easy and simple.

Somewhat agree but i think trump administration is using us to restock and recalibrate their military response, they know iran trusts us and they are using our goodwill as a leverage against iran, i kinda feel cheated after americans' recent aggression to be honest.

Respectfully, why do you think there is anything to mediate? This is a tectonic shift between a waning empire and Iran reclaiming its historical role. Shahbaz Sharif's hugs and kisses cannot impact the massive geopolitical shift in motion. This will only be resolved in the battlefield.

The last mediation resulted in the erosion of Iran's standing. Pakistan cannot be blamed for trying to put an end in the war and elevating its position in the process. Iranians blame the compromising reformists inside Iran for taking every opportunity to give away hard won Iranian gains. Meanwhile Pakistan is deploying forces and materiel in Saudi in the middle of the war. This can only be interpreted as a counter force to Iran.

We like and respect Pakistan and the honorable Pakistani people, but not your politicians. Heck we don't trust our own politicians as you can clearly see.

Are you comparing 8 years of bloody war on the ground where chemical weapons were used extensively by the Iraqi forces to 39 days of air strikes?

Adjusted for inflation, the war with Iraq cost Iran about 2 trillion dollars in 8 years. That's about $250 billion per annum. The US-Israel attacks on Iran have already cost Iran over $500 billion in a matter of 51 days. That's almost $10 billion per day.

Also, back in 1980, Iran was the world's 12th or 13th largest economy by nominal GDP. Where is Iran now? 51st, and going down fast. Even behind countries like Pakistan, Nigeria, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Egypt, Chile, Romania, etc.

That makes more important Straits of Hormuz for war reparations, isn't?.

Besides It. I am talking about human casualties (you know It). Also you talk like war is cheaper for US and IS not the case. From probably a half of fleet (if not more) of RQ9 reaper to munitions stocks not to mention the loss of prestige.

Many articles are written that after the war even dollar won't be the same. This war will likely be the swan song of U.S. hegemony.

Neither the US nor Iran can defeat each other and need help in getting out of this hole the Israelis and the GCC have put them in. That requires negotiations and compromise under third party mediation.

I blame the US for this un-necessary war and also for sabotaging and weaseling out of agreements, a bad habit it picked up from the Israelis, but ultimately this war ends with negotiations and compromise, as most do.

Even in terms of human casualties, the official statistics for Iranian deaths in the 8 years of Iraq-Iran war is 250K-300K.

The official statistics of the last two wars with Israel and the US has already surpassed 11K in just 51 days. Extrapolated for 8 years, it would end up higher than 600K.

The "genocide" in Gaza killed about 100 people per day. The US-Israel have killed 215 Iranians per day in their 51 days of war against Iran and nobody talks about it. More than 2x people were killed in Iran compared to Gaza.

War is cheaper for the United States because its GDP is $31,860 billion, while Iran's GDP is barely $300 billion. Almost 1% of the US GDP. The US has spent close to $100 billion in the recent war, Iran's damage is well over $500 billion from the last two wars. It's incomparable.

Also, the Federal Reserve prints the US dollar any time it needs money and the entire world trade in the US dollar and absorb the inflation caused by increased liquidity, including Spain. Iran does not enjoy a similar condition unfortunately.

You can make your points without pooh pooing the actual genocide that did occur in Gaza, on top of a brutal 60 year Israeli military occupation.

I could, but I chose not to :) I don't see Muslims or Palestinians shedding tears for Iranians, who were killed in higher numbers than the so-called "genocide" in Gaza. Nobody calls what happened in Iran a genocide.

Come on bro. No comparison between what happened in Gaza vs what happened in Iran.
