I'm afraid I dissent with you. However by any chance if they come them just a few body bags to US will be enough to change the US public opinion.
And what good is the US public opinion for Iran?
The public opinion in the US was against the Vietnam War, but it lasted 2 decades nevertheless. And the US was way more democratic back then. Americans, and most people in the world, now live in some 1984 dystopia.

Trump is so stupid he reverses his own jawboning of energy prices.

US Vice President JD Vance says Washington will not send 150,000 ground troops to achieve regime change in Iran, and that Iran's asymmetric threat in the Strait of Hormuz means the conflict can only be resolved through diplomacy. Vance added Iran can be bombed and some capabilities destroyed, but a sensitive diplomatic process with Tehran is underway. (Al Mayadeen Breaking citing Vance)

Except for California. Depending on how the returns are going, it could take a month or two until they get the results they need.
Fair enough. January then. What difference does it make? Trump still has all the time he needs.

Are you genuinely seeing that it would stretch beyond Nov🤔
I think Trump is pretty darn serious about his regime change plans. He wanted something like the Venezuela situation, but he won't give up if that situation is not possible.

Iran / Venezuela the characteristics of the people, their history and geography. All are poles apart.

Remember at the start when Trump thought he was going to achieve regime change Venezuelan style in 2 days

Look where they at now
The problem is that he's not giving up because the US hasn't paid a cost high enough yet. And the current situation is not sustainable for Iran.
