US Marines board vessel near Strait of Hormuz

US Marines have boarded a vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, according CENTCOM.

The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted "a verification boarding" on the M/T Wen Yao in the Gulf of Oman.

It means American forces have redirected three commercial vessels trying to run the US blockade on Iranian ports, CENTCOM posted.

"The Strait of Hormuz and the surrounding waters remain free and open, except for vessels attempting to violate America's steel wall blockade."

Even worse, they ridiculed us and pretended they had some form of knowledge that everyone else in the world could not understand because they lacked the superior intelligence of a Mullah and a Basiji.

Instead of investing in some actual deterrence, they talked about plasma weapons and super weapons more powerful than nukes that anybody with an undergrad degree in physics would've laughed in their faces.

We told them that without an air force, you wouldn't have any air defense. They ridiculed it. We told them that without an air force, you wouldn't be able to move your troops. Again, they didn't listen. Now the US air refuelers are freely hovering near our territory and we cannot even cause an annoyance, and God knows how we want to defend our territory if an invasion starts.

Instead of investing in our armed forces, they wasted tens of billion dollars in Syria and even more money in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen. Money that could've been spent in much more reliable and better ways to defend ourselves.

I think they are waiting for the real war to begin, but we will regret not attacking the Emirates and KSA earlier as soon as the war starts.

Start a war with a super power over something that isn't even related to you in the first place, i.e. Palestine.
The fatwa against nukes was as I see it just a shield for them to build up the infrastructure to make one if they had to, thing is they lack the balls to push to the end. As far as I know Iran still has nuclear latency but for the life of me i cant figure out why they dont just push to the end yet.

Building up an airforce under sanctions is almost impossible, Russia backed out of giving their planes, China flat out rejected them and obviously no Western or Westernpuppet state like Pakistan would wanna deal with the repercussions. Drones and missiles was the only possible solution for projection but I agree they shouldvve focused more heavily in air defences rather than just mOuNtAiNS and absorbing blows.

Forward defence was a good strategy but it all fell apart with Bashars fall. it still is smart if you look at it. If israel wasnt distracted by Hamas within and Hezbollah at its borders this war would be a whole lot different.

Theatrical move by terrorist pirates, this wont open the strait.

Today is not the first day the U.S. struck Iranian infrastructure. You still believe the Iranian threats?
I keep seeing that pattern here. That some people say be patient, Iran will strike back hard. It's just taking a little longer

Sounds like pure hopium to me

Iran is being bombed day by day, now is the time to strike back hard, that is if if itad the capability.

Yes, clearly there is no such capability, only bluffs and empty threats.

US wants to seize southern Iran, including kharg Island, while Pezeshkian, Ghalibaf and Araghchi remain asleep at the wheel.

This inaction will lead to another Khorramshahr ❗
The same Pezeshkian was deceived by the Yankees before Operation True Promise 2 and Operation True Promise 3. The same Pezeshkian still hasn't learned a damn thing.

Unfortunately with this liberal government we keep making horrible mistakes again and again.
Spot on

I guess they're responding with what they do have.

But yeah, if they had super weapons of any sort capable of sinking ships at long range with good defenses, they probably would have done it by now.

That's what we all thought until a certain chain of events started to happen. Personally, I lost hope when Iran agreed to sign the JCPOA. The JCPOA made it clear to me that Iran was not going to build nukes. I still had some hope left out of extreme optimism, but when Trump pulled out of JCPOA and they killed Soleimani and all Iran did was a symbolic retaliation, I realized there would be no Iranian nuclear weapon.

The problem with Iran's nuclear program right now is that our fissile material has been buried deep under Natanz and Fordow. Not only it is next to impossible to access it on short notice because of high radiation in there, also with 24/7 satellite surveillance and the US air superiority over Iran, but even if we do, we still lack critical components of a nuclear weapons program, most importantly a uranium conversion facility. And that is based on the assumption that Iran is already in possession of a working design, which could very well be false.

The sanctions started to bite in 2006 onwards. When the Iraq-Iran war ended, Iran had 17 years to rearm itself and invest in R&D. Russia itself sold Iran RD-33 engines during the presidency of Khatami. But most importantly, why did Iran get in this mess in the first place? Well, because Iran decided to invest in a useless nuclear program while chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" every Friday.

Forward defence was a good strategy but it all fell apart with Bashars fall. it still is smart if you look at it. If israel wasnt distracted by Hamas within and Hezbollah at its borders this war would be a whole lot different.
I have said it before, and I will reiterate again even if people don't believe me or laugh at me, but this whole October 7 thing was carefully planned and executed by the US, Israel, Arabs and Turkey to drag Iran and its network of militias into a regional war.

When people here were cheering October 7, I told them that Hamas did it because Turkey and Arabs wanted to go after Iran and we were the primary target. People, of course, laughed at me and I know it's a conspiracy theory but I haven't changed my mind about it one iota since then.

Trump won the war 42 times now
If IRGC was listening to the arm chair generals , and believed the Hasbara desk in this forum, Iran would have lost the war 84 times .
Let’s assume they are stupid enough to land on an island . How are they going to suppress the missiles and drones pounding them non stop ?
How are they going to get water there ?
How will they supply them ?
