I don’t think it’s a learning thing. It’s Iran not wanting to escalate. Seems they went back to Qiam which is an easy missile to intercept. After the war these old SCUD based missiles should be completely halted. They take up space in the missile cities and are simply not competitive any longer in 2020’s, maybe back in 2000s they were.

If Iran wants to build a cheap missile to suck up air defenses it should work on one that is cheap but still gives modern systems trouble.

Also keep in mind Iran hasn’t fired even 1 K-4 or cluster munition warhead missile at Jordan bases, which makes the most sense if you are trying to avoid air defenses and cause damage across a wide area.

The problem with people like you is that you cannot read between the lines, you need a book to understand things which others can understand in 5 paragraphs. And then you vent your frustrations while blaming others for your own shortcomings.

My whole argument has been the attack on the 3 Civilian Ships transiting the strait which Iran hit and then everything went haywire. Before that, attacks had virtually stopped everywhere. There was relative peace and hope all around. And trump may be a conman, but he is also a simpleton who cannot control his emotions and feelings. Else, in which timeline would he ever have had cursed Nethanyahu??

It is your opinion that Trump wants total capitulation from Iran, had that been the case, Trump would have been striking all the power stations, power grids, water storages, oil storages and other critical civilian infrastructure which he has clearly not done on a large scale. He could just have ordered MOABs or even could literally have used Tactical or Conventional Nukes. I mean the attacks would have been relentless; Trump has so much destruction as his disposal that it is sometimes unbelievable that people still think Iran can actually defeat the US in a war. This is insanity.

And I said we could have expected the US to violate the MoU but not the Iranian side. And yet it turned out the Iranians were the ones who first shot down the US Helo and then targeted the 3 Civilian Vessels targeting the Strait.

After that, when Israel bombed Beirut, Iran fired missiles at Israel and the US fired some salvos at Iran or maybe it did not. But after all this, there was a period of calm for atleast a week or more. And that's what the world was building on to. By today, thing could have been so different, if only Iran had not attacked those vessels.

I understand what you're saying. But ill defined periods of calm have no meaning in terms of actual raitified and verifiable diplomacy between nation states that were only just at war. There was no negotiation going on in this period and the rhetoric was openly hostile from both USA and Iran.

In other words, what you are interpreting to be "a period of calm to build upon" would be interpreted by many others as a lull immediately prior to a sneak attack. Can we honestly argue that USA (and Israel) do not have recent form in opening fire suddenly during a period of relative calm during a declared ceasefire?

Both sides have ultimately chosen war as the way forwards, yes, but I can't put the blame on Iran on the basis of what we have observed hitherto. I suppose we need to wait and see if Iran can inflict enough damage to force yet another re-think from the USA-Israel nexus.
