This time around, Air defense is not working at all. In 40 days war they did achieve some success in locking/hitting few targets.

There is no fighter jets in Iranian air space these are B-1 bombers and fighter jets releasing cruise missiles and other stand off munitions from Iraq and Persian Gulf.

Given that it’s night time hard to see these munitions to shoot down with AA fire unless the AA gun is radar oriented.

Again, this is what happens when you are always REACTING to the escalation.

Still bro, loss of assets is not good in war time. Despite all the hopefuls here hoping for rescue and relief by Russia, it isn't coming so every bullet, every AA Artillery piece matters. The Samavat is still pretty potent for C-UAS capabilities.

Careful what you wish. Rouhani can be SL. Zarif clan will never be targeted.

Mojtaba spent a lot of time in England aka ‘The Little Satan’. He’s not much better than Rouhani. He talks a big talk (like his father), but continues the same cautious approach.

If Iran won’t fight like Yemen or Ukraine did respectively then they should turn it over to the 5th column of Zarif and Rouhani and become another banana country of the Empire. This sitting on both sides of the fence policy has been utter disaster for this country for last 20 years.

Brother its not that easy, Iran from my limited knowledge doesn't have shoot and scoot system [willing to be corrected by Iranian members here on this], they have to use mobile launchers which require time to position and fire, when they fire you think that E3 flying above Dhoa is not looking for signatures?

Iran has been fighting this war for a long time and have developed a careful strategy on how to conduct their reprisal attacks on their own terms. If they are not attacking Tel Aviv, there must be a very good operational reason behind it.

Yes you are right but still they have successfully hit targets across the region and at distance too, there were also videos of one of their missile bases from where they were firing missiles from underground using magazing launch system..

I think its more of a strategic/decision problem rather than capability problem.

I was not mocking in anyway you can check my hundreds of post to know my stance.

I was just not expecting US to go with its threat so quickly and in middle of week.

The buildup was already being mentioned both in the US thread and here. I had posted earlier last week tracking movement of aircraft way above baseline. Also, those C17 weren't carrying cakes for US service personnel in the middle east. This was expected, Trumpster and all the people in the US had mentioned deeper strikes.

A missile base wouldn’t cause fire on the surface unless there was a launcher out. I doubt Iran would send out a launcher until the coast is clear.

So this points to likely targeting some type of military base (above surface) equipment or potentially fuel depots. Hard to tell given it’s dark.

If True, likely revenge for the Tower 22 strike that had special forces. Hopefully Iran had cleared the base out today.

Iran's response, its scope and intensity will be very important! US has definitely scaled up the escalation ladder.. usual response of targeting PGCC bases will not deter or even hesitate US anymore.

Should target bases in Israil from where these jets are operating.. target qatar and ksa bases from where surveillence is provided
