What you say is true, however, European nations would retaliate and possibly join the war with USA. That's the last thing Iran wants.

And besides that, Iran would have to have missiles that would reach those European capitals. So far it seems they don't. And if they do, not sure what they're waiting for?

Regardless, we have to be realistic here.

US attacks Iran for couple of weeks, Iran blocks Hormuz, Oil climbs.

US talks about ceasefire and negotiations to stabilize markets, Oil prices go down.

US regroups/re-arms and comes back with a new round.

US can keep going like this for ages without any major issues, but Iran really can't.
Iran needs to find a way to break this vicious cycle before its too late.

Still IR is reluctant to carry out massive missile salvos on US tankers and bombers stationed in ISrail.. You hit the enemy where its weak, their weakness is low stockpiles... In 3-5 months time they will be armed to teeth with interceptors and basically iran has to do everything from 0, again targeting bases in 6 countries while US and ISrail will bomb them without any fear..

The interceptor and precision munition stockpile will take years to recover. The US has recognized that expensive equipment with long delivery times are unsuitable in this new age of cheap and quickly assembled drones and missiles, but it will take time to adjust.
