Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

So USN is sailing across the ME region all on mercy of Iranian hesitation to go big?
That will be the most stupidest pro max strategy from any Navy in the world.
USN knows what it's doing.They had a great experience against Houthis so Iranian anti shipping approach was very much predictable to them.
Trump said IRGC fired 100 projectiles in one shot at USN ship at one point - all were knocked out of sky.
I think they learned their lessons well in houthi compaign and got their defences at the right place against Iran.
Then why did Iran not sink the destroyer stationed in PG, or attempt to target the carrier which was very close to it shores per satelites?

Forget missiles they could have even used lots of drones but didn't.

And quoting serial liar trump does not help.

DAMN!!!!

They did. Even Trump admitted during the war of an attack on a career group using 100+ drones and missiles.

But with 300KM Distance and the slow speed of drones and CMs and with AWACs in the air they can see them coming from a mile away.

To put it simply: Iran doesn’t have a lethal weapon system that can strike US carrier groups at distances greater than 250KM fast enough that the carrier Group cannot respond. Only China has such a weapon (hypersonic CMs and Anti-ship BM).

While Iran does have anti-ship BMs they are simply not accurate enough without point in time intelligence to track the ships as they do evasive maneuvers.

I was referring to this incident -

Whilst in that article it notes they crossed the SOH and came under fire, they were moving west to east, so what I found puzzling during the 2+ months of war they were sitting very close to Iran and were not targetted.

@ShapurII
@Persian Gulf
@Shags101

Well I have been one to mention repeatedly that Iran has a vast underground weapons industry the Houthis Hamas Hezbollah have all gone underground to build up weapons from eyes in the sky they learned this from Iran so why wouldn’t Iran move a lot of weapons production underground in those missiles cities or elsewhere

I’m not sure how accurate that is. Many of these claims of ships in the SoH were later walked back. If U.S. Navy isn’t afraid they would be in the SoH like they were in 1980s. Yet we continue to see them keep a healthy distance.

If the incident you claim occurred, then the easiest explanation is sinking or severely damage a U.S. destroyer would be a very significant escalation and could have led to U.S. committing more to the war and potential rally around the flag effect.

Because Iran’s CMs became much more lethal inside the SoH when the time to respond goes from hour(s) to just minutes.

Somthing is definitely goin on in Dubai

Yemen has more guts than Iran does at this point. So far they attacked UAE and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile Iran hasn’t attack either in months.

But it’s strange that Houthi’s would attack UAE when the reports are that Saudi Arabia bombed them.
