So how much oil on average is getting through compared to before? Seems like everyone is saying something different and I got no idea tbh.
I am sure the insurance costs have skyrocketed and that would affect the fuel prices also
Depends who you believe, this account says it’s about the same loss as in March mostly due to lack of Iranian and Saudi exports. But I think he is severely underestimating Yanbu loadings (.5MBPD is quite frankly a joke).
My guess is there is still a short fall of ~5-7MBPD happening compared to pre war. I think the 10-13MBPD number shortfall citied is too optimistic (for Iran). You would be seeing a lot more reserves being depleted and frenzy if the market was still losing 10MBPD+ then what we are seeing.
At the current rate, the U.S. might not feel the pain till October. But again we don’t have complete picture into how many ships are running the Strait at night with US assistance.
