not just the pipelines. also the refineries. and increase frequency of strikes on ships crossing Omani route.

oil price remains favourable for Iran, stable around $105-110 and still on uptrend

the last increase started when houthi took over bab el mandeb islands, but they havent do it anything yet with that new power.

so it's to expect more increase when they will use his new position against saudi oil tankers.

The US can't leave. The US debt and petro dollar system is in the Gulf. Without that petrodollar and investment of trillions from the gulf the US would be in great depression. Only thing keeping the US economy afloat is borrowing more money and other countries like the gulf arabs lending them that money. Its simply not possible for the US to choose to leave as it would be the end of the US empire

There are many who thought the US would leave if not almost immediately then within the near future.

That's just hopium

US would leave East Asia before ever choosing to leave West Asia. They will never choose to leave only forced to leave. Petrodollar and dollar as reserve currency is the only thing preventing great depression and hyperinflation.

If things don't go well in the next 6months to a year I have no doubt US would send ground troops one way or another. Just capture a state here and there like iranian kurdistan/azerbaijan etc and continue the war as the US can not suffer the consequences of the alternative result.
