I'm confused by how gasoline and diesel prices are going up. Aren't ships passing through the strait of hormuz. Until Iran rebuilds its damaged ship detection radars I don't see why prices don't go down. The US is still releasing from the SPR.

Not so much as claimed gets through.

And China is now buying way more oil than few months ago.

Trump and Republicans will take a huge beating in the midterm election that will be held on November 3, 2026, just 45 days from today.

Problem is that dems are also slaves of israel, nothing good will ever come out of these 2 political parties, the winner just continues where the loser left.

Dems do a little more when it comes to appealing to there voter base.

"an end to wars on all fronts,"

Cannot be achieved. Israel will not leave Lebanon or Syria. Houthis are not even under Tehran's control.

Either, Iran realises all this (and always knew) and is sending a "signal" for unclear motives,

Or, Iran GENUINELY believes it (or even USA) commands leverage over all the other regional actors, which is a deluded belief if so.

I suspect it is the former.

For example, if Iran shot 100 ballistic missiles at Israel, no way in hell. Does any defense stop a lot of them

A lot of those ballistic mixals would cause a lot of damage to tel Aviv

Thus, thus raising the deterrence level

You were expecting Iran to launch 100s of ballistic missiles towards Israel when there were atleast 10 US/Israel fighter jets in air over Iran all the times. Iran lost many of it's launchers due to trying attacking Israel in those days.

Now, these days US/Israel isn't flying fighter jets over Iran anymore. They are sending drones but that's it. And one of major reason behind it was loss of fighter jets and realization that Iran now have the capability to drop those fighter jets from sky.

Now (like last week) is actually the correct time to keep the momentum for Iran. Not during the initial days, otherwise Iran would have no launchers by now.

Great points. It is a marathon, not a sprint.

The high energy prices are a huge political and economic problem for the US. Iran and Co. needs to find ways of keeping up the pressure. Invest some time in watching this short video.

A diesel export ban in the US is being considered.
