There is no Kurdish insurgency inside Iranian borders.

The Kurdish separatists group are in the Kurdish autonomous part of Iraq, which is why Iran has been bombing Erbil and the Kurdish part of Iraq for the last several months nearly every week. And they hardly ever cross the border, and when they do it is small skirmishes like killing 2 soldiers and escape.

They were supposed to cross the border during the 40-day war but they wised up and used their brains and decided not to do so because they realized that the regime was not about to fall and they would be dealt with.

Their number of recruits and armed fighters hardly reaches 10K, hardly enough to make a difference in the actual outcome of the war. They can be an annoyance and a big distraction though.
