But we have remained idle for the last decades. Iraq is a totally different story. They have a shattered society, not even today they can be a normal functioning country. All they do to progress is learning from Sauds how to bend over to USA.

We have gone through much worse, this scenario is a joke compared to 8 years war with Saddam.

Ironically, countries like Turkey and Saudi Arabia are the beneficiaries of the Americans leaving Iraq because it makes Washington more dependent on Ankara and Riyadh - even though the Iranians paid the price for this withdrawal.

During the 8 years war, Iraq was next to Iran, they bombed Iranian oil tankers like there was no tomorrow.
