Come on. The MoU was never a serious document. It read like an Iranian wishlist. You think that Trump would sign such an important document in France of all places and next to Macron?

Both sides knew it was dead on arrival. Iran was trying to hold a funeral and get its oil out and the U.S. was trying to get 100M+ barrels out. It was basically a temporary ceasefire.

The U.S. was never going to give Iran control of the Strait and began violating the MoU on day 1.

MoU should have never been signed As it was a fake document.

Iran’s main “ally” has sided with the West and the global economy and diluted Iran’s main leverage card (global energy prices). It’s been 7 months of war and oil is only around $100.

Iran is losing leverage rapidly.

I think your being unfair to China. China will look after its own interests not Irans. They want to keep the price of fuel down it costs massively to their economy at the same time they dont want to see Iran fall to the US empire. They have started to buy more oil now simply because even their massive reserves can only run for so long. I still think covertly they are helping Iran to what capacity maybe we find out in the future.
