Some may be interested in this economic potential. I'm not one of them. Certainly, if the Talibs are ousted and Afghanistan evolves into a functional state that tolerates the sovereignty of Pakistan (the Durand Line) and behaves in a civilised manner, so be it, relations can certainly be renewed. But Pakistan's position against Talibs is simply due to their behaviour. I don't really understand this "missed opportunity" that some are advocating for. It's quite the opposite. We have dodged a bullet.Sour grapes. China has been putting money into both Afghanistan/Pakistan and wants both countries to turn the page and focus on development and trade. China's idea was to use CPEC ports and roads in Pakistan to export Afghan minerals and agriculture.
With Pakistan consistently rejecting this and even blockading Afghanistan, the Chinese have now quietly turned to Iran and are working on Iran-Afghanistan-China routes, with Iranian ports to be used for exports.
Afghanistan now has improving relations with Russia, China , India and Iran. Chabahar, which like Gwadar has been a stillborn project till now, may get a new lease of life.
Once again Pakistan misses the bus thanks to idiot armymen making foreign policy.
That entire country needs to be baptised to get rid of the greasy jew fingerprints.Midterms are going to be a bloodbath for republicansI think America after Trump needs to go to rehab he’s been feeding it to much crack

I respectfully disagree. Can discuss on another thread. Apologies for derailing this one.I say to Pakistan and Iran, what I say to my ancestral Bangladeshis, you have to find a way to live with your neighbours.
If you fight with all your neighbours - your neighbours probably aren’t the problem.
Whether it’s a country or a family home - it’s the same challenges.
Bravado and maximalist positions aren’t conducive to good neighbourly relations.
And prioritising good relationships with someone in another area over your immediate neighbours - does no good to the practicalities of life.
Ask a real estate agent or an insurance broker. They’ll explain it to you in pounds and shillings!!!

But Iran and Taliban learned to build a better relationship with each other during the US war on Afghanistan, and that seems to be turning out to be very consequential and beneficial for Iran. An Afghanistan that is in conflict with Pakistan also has no choice really but to open up more to Iran, primarily because it's landlocked, and this benefits Iran. Geopolitics is all about leverage and cold calculated strategy, not emotional reasoning, which some of you here clearly can't hide.Iran's history doesn't trust Afghans. That's bitter of truth.
He's right in fact. This white trash keeps talking trash.
Well inshallah the corruption at leastThat entire country needs to be baptised to get rid of the greasy jew fingerprints.
